Home Court Heroes was a creative exercise to openly create. The idea to paper the front corner of Friends & Neighbors was developed after talking about F&N’s famous sign that was rearranged every week to say something different, often times drawing people in to take a photo of them with it. This grew into the thought: how do we engage with the influx of folks in town for the NCAA Men’s Final Four? With legendary basketball players coming from Minnesota, we felt it was a good jumping-off point. A handful of players were chosen, and research was done in order to produce 7-8 posters for each player. With 3 designers working on this, some key elements were developed organically and existed throughout unintentionally. The only rule was to design in black and white. The results are what you see here.
